Abstract:Abstract: In this paper, a high-power blue violet laser diode was studied and a homogenization system was designed for high precision 3D printing. Every blue violet diode laser with output power of 350 mW was coupled into the fiber with a core diameter of 400 μm and numerical aperture of 0.22 using an aspherical lens. 28 fibers were mechanically bundled for power expansion. The laser output power of 8.1 W was achieved. When the output power was 6.9 W, the stability of the laser was measured. The RMS power instability was ±0.3% within 2 h. A set of fly eye lenses were designed to homogenize the laser field using Zemax software. The simulation result was that the uniformity of laser field was increased from 48% to 86%. After laser homogenization experiment, the uniformity of the laser field reached 84.4%. Blue violet laser source with high power and high field uniformity was successfully obtained for 3D printing and laser medical treatment.
