Aiming at the image smearing problem of array staring detector applied in IRST system, in order to perform image motion compensation of high quality IRST system in azimuth search turntable by variable speed motion, in this paper, presented is a kind of image motion compensation control technology using real-time LOS tracking for IRST system. High-speed and high-precision control strategy achieves accurate compensation for image motion based on real-time speed perception of the azimuth search turntable. M/T algorithm for high precision speed measurement completes accurate calculation of image motion. The scanner control system model was established, and the simulations were performed on the galvanometer control algorithm. Imaging tests performed in laboratory indicate that the target is clear without tailing in azimuth searching turntable in variable speed motion. The imaging quality is similar to that of the starring system.
