Abstract:An atmospheric laser communication system was realized by using optical fiber circulator, which is beneficial to realize the optical path simplification and modularization of the system. The system uses no beacon light, but signal light to realize alignment and communication. According to different communication distances, the focusing structure was adopted to adjust the beam divergence angle. A focus mechanism using spiral outer sleeve was proposed, and compared with traditional focusing mechanism, it presents the advantages of simple structure, small size, etc. Experiments were carried out by using the atmospheric laser communication system, and a communication rate of 1.25Gb/s at 1.5km distance was achieved.
