Abstract:As used in shooting ranges, infrared detection device usually performs poor in recovering lost targets, in particular in takingoff stage. Thus, the widefield staring infrared imaging technology is raised up to solve the problem. Firstly, the optimal selection of infrared detection band is analyzed about targets in shooting ranges. Then, the imaging and moving characteristics in widefield are analyzed. Finally, the field size of infrared system is demonstrated according to the detection requirements of shooting ranges. Taking various factors into account, the field angle of 57.4°~74.65° is suitable for detection. Moreover, it can also overcome the problem that the lost targets are difficult to recover, decreasing the missing alarm.
