Abstract:Joint Fresnel transform correlator was achieved with a phaseonly spatial light modulator encoding linear phase mask. To analyze the influence of the phase modulation error of the phaseonly spatial light modulator on the correlation performance of the correlator, correlation output with different phase modulation error was numerically simulated. Simulation results show that the larger the phase modulation error is, the lower the correlation peak value is and the larger the full width at half maximum of the correlation peak is. Compared with the double optical wedges joint Fresnel transform correlator, experimental results show that the double optical wedges joint Fresnel transform correlator has higher correlation peak value and smaller full width at half maximum, which is consistent with the simulation result.
