In this article, proposed is a way to use Mach-Zehnder intensity modulator to generate electrical signals which are not only even times but also odd times frequency of the input signal. By setting the bias voltage of Mach-Zehnder modulator at linear biasing point, odd orders multiplication of frequency of the input signal is generated. And by setting the bias voltage of Mach-Zehnder modulator at even frequency multiplication point, even orders multiplications of frequency of the input signal is generated. In both circumstances mentioned above, the amplitude of the input signal can be adjusted to get the needed high order microwave signal. Theoretical analysis and experimental results prove the feasiblity of this method.
