Abstract:The specific location of gadolinium doped liquid scintillator is needed to be calibrated in the Daya Bay neutrino experiment, the level of the image obtained by non-contact collection of infrared CCD camera, and the gadolinium doped liquid scintillator level can be obtained by image pre processing, image segmentation, level positioning and liquid level measurement, etc. In this paper, not only introduced is the whole infrared CCD image processing system, but also the piecewise linear gray stretch algorithm and digital morphology. Experimental results show that the presented method improves the accuracy of the measured liquid position. The liquid level can be accurately measured when the liquid flash is in the bottom position or metal ring position, and measurement error is in the range of 2mm.
