Abstract:Medical experiments were carried out on the influence of white LED on visual function and electroretinography (ERG) test results were obtained under different illuminations. Different characters of ERG under different illuminations were studied. Compared with the control group, by the 300lux illumination, no abnormal data can be found in ERG of rats and one of the characters of ERG shows different trends. By the 1000lux illumination, the data of ERG was abnormal and some characters of ERG show distinguished difference. So 300lux illumination can be determined as the safety threshold wavelength of white LED light source initially. Experimental study of the retinal security by LED light will provide theoretical basis for indoors application of LED light.
