Abstract:The ultraviolet communication model and the MAC protocol were analyzed based on practical aircraft formation. The NLOS(a) communication model was used to insure the information interaction within the aircraft formation. The NLOS(C) communication model was used to insure communication distance and communication quality inter-aircraft formation. The MAC protocol in the airborne ultraviolet communication was based on traditional IEEE802.11 DCF protocol. An improved back-off algorithm SDBA was proposed to enhance the performance of the BEB. Based on network simulation platform of NS2, the performance of the new algorithm was simulated and evaluated. The simulation results show that the new algorithm has the characteristics of low delay, high throughput and is more suitable for the airborne ultraviolet communication network.
