The demodulation theory of FBG sensing system based on optical rotation effect was explained, and the relationship between the specific rotation and the incident wavelength was analyzed. The results show that along with the increasing wavelength, the specific rotation decreases and it shows linear variations in the range of 834~841nm. The dual optical path detection system was designed to verify the response between specific rotation and the incident wavelength, and it is indicated that the experiment result is consistent with the theory analysis.
