By making linear fitting on the tellurium based fiber optic Raman gain spectrum, numerical simulations were carried out on tellurite based fiber Raman wavelength converter based on the theory of N channel non dispersive limit transient stimulated Raman scattering (SRS). A comparison was also made on tellurite based fiber Raman wavelength converter with conventional silicon fiber Raman wavelength converter. The results show that with the same power of pump signal light, the fiber length of the tellurite based fiber Raman wavelength converter is shorter and the peak conversion efficiency is higher compared with conventional silicon based fiber converters.
