Abstract:Thermal parameters are key indicators of LED’s overall performance. To accurately test the junction temperature and the thermal resistance of LED is a necessary precondition for effective thermal management, as well as for the requirement of improving the evaluation criteria of LED’s performance. Based on the research of the measuring methods of LED’s thermal performance at present, varieties of domestic and international thermal testing techniques are introduced and the mechanisms of measurement approaches are discussed. Furthermore, relevant parameters of all kinds of methods are compared, such as operating conditions, advantages and disadvantages. Additional, relevant test equipments are introduced.
