The schemes based on SPC, SPL and SPN wavelength conversions were analyzed in theory and the formulations of packet loss probability in these schemes were deduced. Simulations on the relationship between the packet loss probability and load, the port number of input fiber and the number of wavelength per fiber were carried out. The results indicate that the packet loss probability of SPN is less than the SPL under the same number of wavelength converters. The number of wavelength converters that the SPN needs when the packet loss rate approaches to the limit, is less than that for the SPL.
