Abstract:A design scheme of the thermal infrared camera was designed based on the gigabit ethernet. The conversion of thermal radiation signal to electrical signal was achieved with the utilization of Tau 640. And then, the output image data were converted into a continuous, low latency IP packet by the ethernet module. Lastly, the detailed infrared temperature images were displayed after the signal processing on the host computer. The data transmission rate and the point to point data transmission distance of this system can be able to reach 1Gb/s and 100m, respectively.
