Abstract:An antireflection coating is studied and designed to eliminate the bright lines in the autostereoscopic front projection display. The causes of the bright lines were analyzed and it was indicated that they are caused by the reflection of the micro cylindrical lens surface. Choosing Ta2O5 and SiO2 as the antireflection coating materials, an antireflection coating system is optimized with thirteen Ta2O5 layer and SiO2 layer arranged alternately. As the thermal expansion coefficient of the three materials is nearly the same, so it can avoid the coating breakage. The thickness of the SiO2 film is greater than 1μm, so it can improve the abrasion resistance of the antireflection coating obviously. The thickness of the Ta2O5 film is 33.1nm, so it reduces the evaporation time at high temperature, thus it can avoid the deformation of the PMMA board. The transmittance of the micro cylindrical lens can achieve as high as 98% in the visible spectrum, and the bright lines of the surface reflection are efficiently eliminated.
