Abstract:Using the optical propagation method of transfer matrix in one dimensional dielectric system, it is deduced the calculation formula of transmittance of the triply periodic heterostructure mirror photonic crystal (ABCCBA)PD(ABCCBA)Q with the defect layer D. Along with the changes of the position and thickness of the defect layer and the medium cycle number, the changes of the number and the bandwidth of the optical band gap and the number and transmittance of the defect mode were simulated on the heterostructure mirror photonic crystal with or without defect layer using Matlab. The simulation results show that, when the defect layer is located at the central position, the cycle number N=8 or 10, and the thickness changes in accordance with the specific value, the number of both the optical bandgap and the defect mode, and transmittance reach the best value.
