Abstract:In order to get the peak amplitude, different peak holding circuits with video voltage amplifier and operational transconductance amplifier were designed for fast narrow pulse. And the effects of applying different transconductance amplifiers were tested to find a better design. Simulation consequences show that, using gain of +2 closed loop buffer to expand the region of peak amplitude, the transconductance peak holding circuit is excellent. This method can curtail response time and expand working region. When the rising time of input signal is more than 6ns, the circuit can work normally even if the peak amplitude is up to 2.5V, and its response time is less than 2ns.
