Abstract:Tm3+-doped chalcogenide glasses inGe30Ga5Se65 and Ge30Ga5S65(mol%) system were synthesized by melt-quenching technique. The properties of the glasses including absorption spectra and emission spectra were measured under 800nm excitation. According to the Judd-Ofelt theory and absorption spectrum, the intensity parameter Ωt(t=2,4,6), the spontaneous radiative transition A, fluorescence branching ratio β and radiative lifetime rad of Tm3+ were calculated.
