A design of ultra-high-frequency (UHF) RFID reader was proposed based on the dedicated chip AS3992 to solve the problems of complex manufacturing, poor stability and low interface commonality existing on popular RFID reader systems. The transmitter and receiver models were simulated through ADS and the simulation results indicated a high similarity between the demodulated signal and the original baseband signal, and the transceiver channel of the reader obtains a stable performance, which can provide theory basis for the system design.
