Abstract:The fluorescence characteristics of soluble Poly{(3-butyryl)pyrrole-[2,5-diyl (p-tetradecoxybenzylidane)]} (PBPDTBA) were studied systematically. The results show that the PBPDTBA has the maximum fluorescence quantum yield of 0.118 in the dichloromethane solvent at a certain concentration among the three solvents. The fluorescence intensity of PBPDTBA in dichloromethane solution increases after the first emergence of the trend of weakening with the concentration increase, and the solution has the greatest fluorescence intensity at 0.03mg/ml. The adding of poor solvent to PBPDTBA dichloromethane solution leads to the decrease of fluorescence intensity and the emission peak red-shift. Chloranil results in the quenching of fluorescence of PBPDTBA, and the fluorescence of PBPDTBA dichloromethane solution disappears completely at the concentration of 1×10-3mol/L.
