Abstract:With the increasing development of sensing techniques based on optical fiber Bragg grating (FBG), FBG-based accelerometer becomes to be a hot research topic. In this paper, theoretical analysis on FBG sensing technique and the basic principles of accelerometers were introduced. Progresses on FBG-based accelerometers at home and abroad were introduced and the sensing mechanism and properties were analyzed. Furthermore, key techniques in practical applications were proposed. The future development trends were prospected.
