A microwave fiber-optic link is constructed by using a high-speed AlGaInAs multiple-quantum-well electro-absorption modulator (EAM) based integrated light source. The influence of erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) on the link performance is investigated. Spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) of 97.4 dB?Hz2/3 is demonstrated in 40 GHz frequency band.
