Abstract:In this paper, the optical transmission spectra of the serials Alkaline earth stannate films were obtained by a Varian Cary 5000 UV/VIS/NIR Spectrophotometers.The basic optical constants of the serials stannate films including the refractive index, thickness, absorption coefficient and the optical band gap were calculated by an improved method based on the envelope curves of the transmission spectrum. The calculation results show the stannate films agree well with the Sellmeier’s dispersion relation. These analysis results are identical with the reportorial literature. The extrapolation was used to calculate the optical band gap and the processes of the absorptive transition was discussed.
