Abstract:Based on Monte Carlo ray-tracing method, “light-conversion” and “multicolor mixing” technologies were applied to make simulations and optimizations on the parameters including color rendering index(CRI),correlated color temperature(CCT), flux, radiation power and phosphor particle density of white LEDs. By adjusting the set of three LED chips(red, green and blue), the mixing way of the different phosphors (red, green, and yellow) and the density of the phosphors, a high CRI white light LED under different CCT was obtained under the condition that the amount of light output is acceptable. It comes to a conclusion that BBB chip + green/red phosphors, BBB chip + yellow/red phosphors and RBB chip + yellow phosphor are respectively for cool, neutral and warm correlated color temperature. Then the feasibility is confirmed by experiments.
